Nothing So Sweet As Southern Hospitality
Just outside Macon we pulled off at a roadside BBQ tent. It was hotter than hot but we didn’t care. They plucked peaches from nearby trees, grilled them, and mashed them into a spicy-sweet, sticky sauce that changed the way I looked at ribs forever.
As you can probably tell, these aren’t your everyday ribs. No, we’re bringing in a couple of unconventional ingredients to put a spin on your standard fare. Don’t worry, we aren’t messing with greatness here—we’re merely adding to it.

- 1 rack baby back ribs
- 2 ripe peaches
- 2 cups ground espresso
- 3 tbsp. honey
- 1 bottle BBQ sauce
Preparation
- Add BBQ sauce, espresso, and honey to large mixing bowl.
Cooking Instructions
- 
        1Grill peaches over indirect heat until soft. 
- 
        2Remove peach pits and blend. Then add to mixing bowl with BBQ sauce. 
- 
        3Grill ribs at over indirect heat (300 degrees) for a minimum of 90 minutes, smoking as desired. 
- 
        4Remove ribs and let rest for 5 minutes. 
- 
        5Coat ribs with espresso and grilled peach BBQ sauce. 
-
